As part of the national project “Long and Active Life,” the department received an “ORTORENT Parallel Bars and Ladder” training device and the VitalStim Plus neuromuscular electrotherapy system—the total cost of the equipment exceeded 3 million rubles.

The simulator helps restore walking skills after strokes, injuries, cerebral palsy, and other disorders. The VitalStim Plus system is aimed at restoring speech and swallowing functions: it stimulates the muscles of the face, palate, pharynx, and larynx, while biofeedback makes the rehabilitation process more effective.

Already more than 20 patients in the department have undergone treatment on the new equipment. Specialists note that such technologies significantly expand the possibilities of rehabilitative medicine and help achieve better results when treating severe cases.
