Vladislav's story

Vladislav's mother gave birth on time, but it was difficult: childbirth weakness, prolonged anhydrous period, stimulation of labor. The boy was born with Apgar scale of 4-5 points. The condition was serious, but for some reason the doctors did not do anything, but only wrote it all off to excess weight (as they thought) and heavy labor. They said that the child would recover. But at the age of one year they diagnosed him with cerebral palsy. Vladislav's mother began looking for rehabilitation centers, simulators, specialists. Since the age of two, Vladik's father stopped seeing the child and taking part in his life. Vladik cannot walk or talk on his own. However, despite all the physical difficulties and limitations, he is a very agile, cheerful and intelligent boy. His intellect is fully preserved and he studies the school program independently. He communicates with his mother and close relatives with the help of his eyes and nodding of his head. The boy has been typing with his eyes on the computer for two years already, thus he additionally interacts with people around him, studies with his teacher, keeps a personal page in VK, plays games. Vladislav is also passionate about Photoshop and video editing, and he is very good at creating videos from photos. He even takes orders for a fee! Due to the rehabilitation courses Vlad learned to roll over, to get up from lying on his knees and to move around the house by jumping. He solves examples in math, knows the composition of numbers, multiplication table, can form sentences from words, loves the world around him. In classes with a speech therapist he can pronounce sounds, syllables and short words. Now he tries to sit on the couch by himself - he succeeds, of course, only for a few minutes, but it is a great joy for his mother. She thinks that Vladik is a very capable child and he will succeed.
