Kolya was born in Smolensk in a large and friendly family, where there are four other children besides the boy. The pregnancy was normal, only CTG showed small changes, and doctors diagnosed a short cervix. In the hospital, the specialists diagnosed a double umbilical cord entanglement. The birth was on time, the baby yelled immediately, almost as soon as the umbilical cord was removed from the neck. Kolya was discharged from the hospital on the third day. Everyone was happy about the new member of the family, the name was chosen in advance, named in honor of my husband's favorite grandfather. At the age of 1.3 years the child began to stand on his feet. The pediatrician said that the boy was feeling lazy, but later it would come, and precious time was lost. The parents found out about the diagnosis when their son started trying to move around more actively. Kolya's mom was panicked, as she was registering him for kindergarten, and was afraid that the child would not be able to walk there on an equal footing with his classmates. The child was taken to an orthopedist, who in turn gave a referral to a neurologist. He confirmed the diagnosis - cerebral palsy. It was a great shock for Nikolay's parents. They started a new life: raising a healthy child and constant rehabilitation courses for Kolya. Today the boy has started to walk more confidently, but so far there are no strong improvements. Children around him treat Nikolay well, always take him into their company, but due to his illness he cannot play many mobile games with them. The rehabilitation process needs to be continued.
