4 years old
Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia Raised

Emilia was born at the 30th week of pregnancy and was very tiny: 42 cm and 1520 g. It happened all of a sudden, the doctors could not establish the cause of what happened, they only assumed that the premature birth was provoked by treatment for coronavirus, during which the girl's mother took antibiotics. The baby's lungs were not open at birth and she could not breathe on her own, so she was hooked up to a ventilator. Then, at the ultrasound of the brain, doctors found hypoxia and immediately said that the child would become disabled. The girl's mother began an active struggle for her daughter's health, but despite all efforts, Emilia developed with a strong motor delay. At 7 months she only started to hold her head, at 1 year old she began to turn over, at 2 - to crawl. Cerebral Palsy was diagnosed at the age of 1 year in the Scientific and Practical Center of Child Psychoneurology, and Emilia took rehabilitation courses here. Over the years of treatment mom and daughter tried many procedures: massage, physical therapy, massage therapy, electrophoresis, heat therapy, reflexology, Vojta-therapy, vibro-platform Galileo, IPPA-therapy, exercises on simulators, hydrorehabilitation, kinesiotherapy, botulinum therapy, took classes with an osteopath, watched by a homeopath, worked with a speech pathologist and psychologist and much more. Emilia is a very nice and kind girl. She always makes everyone laugh and never hurts anyone. She is very smart, absorbs any information like a sponge, already knows some English words and can count to ten in English, despite being only 3 years old. Emilia understands that something is wrong with her legs and always tells her mother: “Mommy, when I grow up, I will walk on my own legs”. The girl is happily engaged in therapeutic procedures. And even if she has a hard time with physical activity, she does not cry, because she knows what it is for. She fights hard for the right to live a full life!
