Diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia
Raised 138000 rub.
Dima was born at the 34th week of pregnancy weighing 2,400 g. He spent two days on intensive respiratory support, after which he was transferred to the premature infants department. At 6 months of age the boy was still not sitting or crawling, and his parents sounded the alarm. After 4 months of all kinds of examinations Dima was officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The parents immediately started active rehabilitation of the child. The results did not take long to come: at one year and a month, after the course of Voitha-therapy, Dima crawled up. Today, due to diligent and almost continuous training, the boy is recovering well. Dima's intellect was not affected, and he perfectly understands everything, developed according to his age. Now he is 9 years old, he is a student of the 3rd grade of an ordinary school. He has a lot of friends, he loves to be in the circle of his peers and communicate with them. About 7 months ago Dima's physical development deteriorated, his self-care skills began to fade day by day. Muscle rigidity increased, respectively the volume of movements of arms and legs decreased. Dima couldn't even overcome the usual way from the bedroom to the bathroom, he lost his balance and fell down. After the doctor's examination, the parents' guesses about this situation were confirmed: spasticity (muscle stiffness) increases in children with cerebral palsy during growth spurt, as the muscles do not have time to stretch and become elastic. It is very important to provide Dima with professional help and quality rehabilitation, otherwise he may lose the skill of independent walking.
