Sasha was born on January 30, 2001, at 31 weeks, weighing 1,480 grams and measuring 43 centimeters in length. She spent the first week of her life in intensive care, from where she was transferred in very serious condition to a children's hospital, where she remained for another 1.5 months. However, hypoxia and birth trauma did not pass without a trace, and at the age of one, the girl was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since her discharge from the hospital, Alexandra's life and that of her family has been a daily struggle with her illness: daily massage, therapeutic exercises several times a day, swimming, physical therapy, medication—in short, everything necessary to treat a child with such a diagnosis. The girl has undergone treatment at 18 PNB, the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital, the rehabilitation center at the Marfo-Mariinsky Convent, the Gross Center, and the Institute of Pediatrics, and has participated in canisterapy and hippotherapy. Now Sasha does yoga several times a week, goes to the pool, works out on exercise machines, and periodically takes physical therapy and massage courses. At the moment, Alexandra can stand a little on her own, walk with support, walkers, canes, and one hand, and tries to take a few steps on her own. Walking has become enjoyable for Sasha. Specialists note that her gait has improved, her leg strength has increased, and spasticity and contractures of the knee joints have decreased. Despite her illness, Sasha is a smart, kind, and responsive girl. In 2022, she graduated with honors from the College of Modern Management, Department of Law and Social Security Organization (distance learning), and received a law degree. She plans to continue her studies in her field, but at a university. She loves reading, especially classic literature, listening to music, and drawing. And she really wants to start walking on her own, without help!
