Using funds raised by the Movement to Achieve Foundation, Anna successfully completed another rehabilitation course.
Anna was born at 26 weeks gestation by emergency caesarean section. For the first three months, Anna fought for her life alongside her mother, on a ventilator in intensive care.
Her parents began treatment immediately after her birth, but were unable to prevent cerebral palsy. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, hip adduction, knee flexion, flat-valgus feet, adductor and rotational syndrome. Despite the worst predictions, the girl grew and developed, but still lagged behind in her development. In the end, she was granted disability status. Anna learned to sit at 1.5 years old and took her first steps at 2 years old. Anna now undergoes regular rehabilitation treatment, including botulinum therapy, phased plaster casting, applied kinesiotherapy, exercise therapy, massage, neuroprotective therapy, and other procedures. Against the background of the treatment, there is a positive dynamic in the motor sphere, but when walking longer distances or climbing stairs, support is required.
Anna is a very curious and patient child; at 6 years old, she already dreams of becoming a doctor. In between rehabilitation courses, the little girl is actively developing: she swims, rides horses, draws, learns letters and numbers, learns poems and is starting to read, and sings folk songs. Just recently, the girl took part in the Children's Dreams Festival, where she received a diploma and a medal. Specialists give good prognoses, but the main condition is daily classes and constant rehabilitation.
Thanks to caring people, the Movement to Achievement Foundation was able to raise funds for another rehabilitation course, which Anya successfully completed in January this year. We received a letter from her mother: "We sincerely thank the Bogdan Safonov Foundation for the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation. Anya's back muscles have strengthened, her foot support has improved, her auditory and visual memory has increased, and her social and everyday skills have improved. You are doing a good deed for our children, we bow low to you." In turn, we would like to thank all our benefactors, thanks to whom we were able to help Anya take another step towards a full and happy life.
