Volodya was born prematurely at the age of 34-35 weeks in a severe condition - with diagnoses of SDR (pneumopathy), cerebral spinal ischemia of the 2nd degree, hypoxic damage of the liver, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands, partial optic nerve atrophy, convergent strabismus, etc. He was in intensive care for a long time, and then in the neonatal pathology department. At the age of three months the doctors, believing that the child was absolutely healthy, vaccinated him against DTP and poliomyelitis. They did not even warn that such vaccinations for premature children in the first years of life are highly undesirable and sometimes even contraindicated. The boy continued to lie in hospitals, to do vaccinations, to drink “buckets” of medicines, but at 11 months the doctors made a final verdict - cerebral palsy. Since birth Volodya has been treated in many rehabilitation centers. He has been treated twice for his legs by the method of stage plaster bandages. As a result of this treatment and further rehabilitation, he became stronger and learned to sit, walk near a support and talk independently. In October 2017, he underwent surgery on his legs with implants. Unfortunately, it did not help, but only made his physical condition worse. Before the surgery, he was standing near a support and walking with support, but after the surgery he sat in a wheelchair, as he began to suffer from severe pain in his feet. After 1.5 years, the board of orthopedic surgeons who operated on him decided to remove the implants. Now Vova needs long intensive and quality rehabilitation. Volodya is studying in the 9th grade. He likes studying very much, he actively communicates with his classmates. He likes to be in society. He takes an active part in the life of the class, participates in various contests and competitions. Because of his poor eyesight and the fact that he cannot do without help, his mother has to be with him at school all the time. After lessons they go straight to classes: either to the gym, or to physical therapy, or to the swimming pool (according to the schedule). He constantly needs physical therapy, massage, medical drugs, classes with a speech therapist, speech pathologist, psychologist, swimming in the pool. Only permanent comprehensive rehabilitation courses can help.
